Soap Berries grow wild at the base of the Himalayan Mountains and are hand picked by a local family business that Dragonfly owner buys directly from.

They are an eco friendly, animal friendly, biodegradable, hypoallergenic, zero waste option for laundry detergent! You can also repurpose them in your plant soil after they are done with their laundry life, to enrich the the soil with nutrients!

Soap Berry shells contain Saponin which is a natural soaping agent. When soap nuts are exposed to warm water the saponin is released. Saponin naturally cleans and softens your laundry in one step.

Each 6oz bag will give you about 120 Loads. A complimentary small organic cotton bag to place the berries in for use in the washing machine, is included.

TO USE: Add 4-8 Berries in the small organic cotton bag(included), and toss in the wash machine on top of your laundry. PLEASE NOTE: Berries are hot or warm water activated, so if you’re washing in cold water, just place the bag of soap berries in a glass of hot water for a few minutes first, before tossing it into the washer.

The berries will last for about 10 loads, you will see the berries turn from dark brown to light brownish gray, and get thinner. When you have gotten all of the use from the soap berries and there is no saponin left, simply replace them with new berries. Old berries are compostable.
