BULK REFILL INFORMATION
Whether you are brand new to refilling or a seasoned pro, please read for all of your refilling questions, tips, and etiquette:
Please be sure that you are only bringing CLEAN AND DRY jars into the shop to be refilled and know that our Team reserves every right to turn jars away that are not.
PLEASE CLEAN + DRY YOUR JARS BEFORE REFILLING: I am personally accepting some of the blame on this one because we’ve been far too lenient on the status of your containers that are being refilled - especially when it comes to bulk liquids. We have had some very untidy jars come in lately and trust me, we understand that you had every intention of cleaning them before you came in… it happens to all of us, but please use this reminder as an opportunity to take the extra time to ensure your jars are clean before refilling.
QUALITY OF PRODUCT: It is also very important to keep a clean container to ensure that your product is staying in top form. Natural products like you find in the shop aren’t pumped full of toxins and weird preservatives that extend the shelf-life far beyond any reasonable handmade product should last. If you’ve been putting new product on top of old product for months ++, your products are no longer able to operate at their highest level like they do when they are fresh - formulas and ingredients also change over time and sometimes they won’t play nicely together with an older batch of a product (hence why the makers may have reformulated a product).
In order to guarantee the highest quality of not only what you are purchasing, but what we have on our shelves for others to purchase we kindly need to ask you each to do your part as well.
If your containers are dirty and they touch our pumps/scoops/spatulas then they become a perfect storm for contamination especially if you have old product in the jar that is past is prime or a product that wasn’t purchased with us in the shop.
